Innovative water filtration

Operates anywhere: The technology effectively treats groundwater, surface-water, and recycled rainwater or cistern water. They are solar-powered, portable, and able to produce clean drinking water using the same membrane treatment technology used by large scale treatment plants.

General Electric (GE), along with a company called Innovative Water Technologies (IWT) designed a unique water filtration system that is simple yet effective as can been from the picture above. The technology was first deployed en-mass in Haiti in the days following that devastating earthquake in 2010. This technology is an effective way of giving the poor access to clean water. Now imagine if the South Africa government partnered with GE and IWT to deploy this technology across South Africa in parts of the country where people have no access to clean water. This technology is pure genius.

Our Politicians must show a willingness to create effective government!!
